The Syndicat d'Initiative de Cerfontaine is an essential player in promoting the six villages of the Cerfontaine entity, namely Cerfontaine, Daussois, Senzeilles, Silenrieux, Silenrieux, Soumoy and Villers-Deux-Églises.
Our activities concern the enhancement of the richness of our heritage through various activities such as walks, conferences or exhibitions.
Activities set up with our partners from the Cerfontaine Tourist Office.
The Syndicat d'Initiative de Cerfontaine works to highlight the natural, military, religious, folk and architectural heritage of the six villages.
We also work, in partnership with the Tourist Office, to promote tourism.
We welcome, inform and guide tourists on essential activities, sites to visit, accommodations, restaurants, and local businesses.
Our aim is to facilitate the discovery of the region by offering personalized advice, detailed brochures, maps, and tourist guides.
We work in collaboration with local or external actors, such as cultural, patriotic and festive associations, folk committees, but also the Province of Namur or the Domaine des Lacs in order to ensure tourist projects close to citizens.
We offer and organize various activities that you will find in detail in the “Activities” section of our site.
It is also possible to receive a leaflet containing all of our activities which are intended for tourists but also for schools and other educational groups.
The Cerfontaine Initiative Syndicate and especially the Cerfontaine Tourist Office promote responsible and sustainable tourism.
Our partners at the Tourist Office have also received the “Eco-Tourism of the Ardennes” label.

The Syndicat d'Initiative de Cerfontaine was founded in 1959 by a group of 26 fellow citizens determined to develop the local tourism in Belgium. Their objective was to promote the natural attractions of Cerfontaine and to ensure a quality welcome to visitors, whose number increased every year. At that time, the first tourists, attracted by green spaces And the walks in the woods, camped in tents to take full advantage of the surrounding nature.
En 1960, a non-profit association (ASBL) officially sees the light of day on January 23, 1960. The following year, the Des Roches Campground is inaugurated on July 23, 1961. This site, located on a former stone quarry, is quickly becoming an essential place for lovers of camping and nature.
Always eager to improve its tourist infrastructures, the Syndicat d'Initiative de Cerfontaine Inaugurates a Mobile home area the June 20 2019. This modern layout reflects Cerfontaine's desire to meet the needs of today's visitors while continuing to promote a sustainable and accessible tourism.
